21-23.07.2013 - FVG-Serbia: a parallel between different ways of typical products enhancement

From July 21 to 23, 2013 A study visit dedicated to the horticultural sector within the AGROWINE Project for decentralized cooperation supported by regional law n. 19/2000 was held successfully. The study visit was organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Informest and was attended by a delegation of 35 producers of the local variety of "Capsicum annuum" pepper as well as administrators from the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (Serbia).
Thanks to the technical assistance provided by ERSA, the delegation had the opportunity to get in touch with different producers of the regional agri-food sector and particularly active in the promotion of local products and in horticultural production. The visit began with a meeting within the "Garlic Festival" held in San Giorgio di Resia, focused on the comparison of the different methods followed in the two regions, where the delegation together with representatives of regional associations for the promotion of local products discussed the theme of the enhancement of indigenous productions.

On July 22, the delegation visited several regional companies to exchange views and information on production techniques and the choice of marketing channels for agricultural products.

The visit ended on July 23 with two in-depth meetings at the Farmers Market in Udine and at ERSA headquarters dedicated not only to the topics of marketing and sales, but also to quality and phitosanitary certification of local products.
