        Friuli Venezia Giulia Region

Friuli Venezia Giulia Region
The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region has adopted a Programme for development cooperation and international partnership activities 2010-2013, a concrete instrument for the implementation of international partnership directives envisioned in regional law no. 19 of 2000.

The global strategy aims primarily at three objectives: preventing economic inequalities, distributing natural resources in a fair way and supporting long-lasting development policies.

The procedures for accessing funds are differentiated and suitable for diverse needs, but the aims of the international cooperation always take into first consideration support for the expansion of economic development, the consolidation of democratic processes and the progressive integration of the combination of rights and juridical obligations that unite and link the member states of the European Union.

With these directives in mind, thanks to the contribution of people and ideas from development agencies, associations of the productive world, Chambers of Commerce, universities, science and technology parks, local agencies, with the

Qualified presence of the most committed members of civil society, the Region is present in those strategic geographic areas of the European continent (such as the Balkans and Eastern countries) in addition to the Mediterranean Basin (North Africa and the Middle East), in Asia (Vietnam and India) and South America (Brazil and Argentina).
